Shipping & Returns Policy

This Shipping & Returns Policy (“Policy”) governs all shipping, delivery, and return activities conducted through the Ridgerunner Marketplace (“Marketplace”). By placing an order on the Marketplace, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Ridgerunner Outdoors, Inc. (“Ridgerunner”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates solely as a technology platform connecting buyers and independent vendors (“Vendors”). Ridgerunner does not manufacture, store, ship, or take possession of products listed on the Marketplace.

Ridgerunner may provide customer support services to assist both buyers and Vendors; however, such assistance is administrative and facilitative in nature only and does not create responsibility, liability, or control over shipping or return outcomes.

1. Role of Ridgerunner

Ridgerunner is not a shipping carrier, logistics provider, retailer, or fulfillment operator.

Ridgerunner:

  • Does not control or guarantee shipping performance
  • Does not handle inventory or fulfillment
  • Does not process or enforce returns
  • Does not assume responsibility for Vendor actions

All obligations related to shipping, delivery, and returns remain solely with the Vendor and/or Customer.

2. Shipping Rate Expiration & Discrepancies

Shipping rates are dynamically generated and may expire.

  • If a Vendor delays shipment and the original rate expires, the Vendor is solely responsible for any increase in shipping costs
  • Vendors may not retroactively charge customers for increased shipping costs after purchase unless explicitly disclosed and agreed
  • Ridgerunner shall not be liable for rate discrepancies, expired rates, or carrier pricing changes

3. Shipping Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Stocked Items

  • Expected to ship within 3 business days

Made-to-Order Items

  • Lead times defined individually by Vendors

Custom Items

  • Lead times defined individually by Vendors

All lead times must be disclosed by the Vendor.

Ridgerunner:

  • Does not enforce SLA compliance
  • Does not guarantee delivery timelines
  • Is not liable for delays or missed expectations

4. Shipping Options

4.1 Vendor Shipping Options

Vendors may configure:

  • Standard and/or Express shipping per product
  • Standard-only shipping
  • Consolidated shipping across multiple items
  • Free shipping thresholds

Consolidated Shipping

If enabled:

  • Rates are calculated based on combined weight and dimensions
  • Applies only when shipping methods are aligned

4.2 Customer Shipping Options

Customers may:

  • Select Standard or Express shipping (if offered)
  • Choose shipping options per item

For multi-item carts:

  • Same shipping method → consolidated shipping may apply
  • Mixed shipping methods → separate shipping charges apply

Customers will be shown:

  • Shipping options
  • Costs
  • Free shipping thresholds

5. Shipping Carriers & Tracking

Vendors are responsible for:

  • Carrier selection
  • Shipment processing
  • Tracking information

Ridgerunner does not verify or guarantee tracking accuracy.

6. Delays, Loss, and Damage

All shipping risk rests solely with the Vendor and/or Customer.

Ridgerunner is not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays
  • Lost shipments
  • Damaged goods
  • Theft
  • Delivery errors
  • Customs or import issues

Claims must be handled directly with the Vendor or carrier.

7. Returns Policy

7.1 Vendor-Controlled Returns

All return policies are set and enforced by individual Vendors.

These may include:

  • Return eligibility
  • Return windows
  • Condition requirements
  • Refund methods
  • Restocking fees

Customers must review Vendor return policies prior to purchase.

Ridgerunner does not:

  • Guarantee acceptance of returns
  • Enforce Vendor return policies
  • Issue refunds

7.2 Return Initiation

Returns are initiated by the Customer through their order history on the Marketplace.

  • Return requests are routed to the Vendor
  • Approval or denial is determined solely by the Vendor

Ridgerunner may assist in facilitating communication but does not control the outcome.

7.3 Return Labels

  • Return labels are not automatically included
  • Labels are generated only upon request, subject to Vendor approval

Vendor options:

  • Include label in shipment (at Vendor cost)
  • Provide label upon request
  • Charge customer for return shipping
  • Decline to provide return shipping coverage

Ridgerunner:

  • Does not generate, fund, or guarantee return labels
  • Is not responsible for return shipping logistics

7.4 Refunds

Refunds are processed solely by the Vendor in accordance with their policies.

Ridgerunner:

  • Does not issue refunds
  • Does not guarantee refund eligibility
  • Is not liable for denied or delayed refunds

Payment processors may have independent dispute processes.

7.5 Non-Returnable Items

Certain items may be designated by Vendors as non-returnable, including but not limited to:

  • Custom or made-to-order products
  • Used or damaged items
  • Final sale items

Ridgerunner does not validate or enforce these restrictions.

8. Customer Support (Non-Operational Role)

Ridgerunner Customer Service may assist both Customers and Vendors with:

  • Shipping inquiries
  • Tracking issues
  • Return coordination
  • Dispute communication

However:

  • Support is facilitative only
  • Ridgerunner does not control Vendors or carriers
  • Assistance does not create liability or responsibility

All final decisions remain with the Vendor.

9. Free Shipping Thresholds

Vendors may offer free shipping based on order value.

  • Thresholds are set by Vendors
  • Conditions are defined by Vendors
  • Applicability is determined at checkout

Ridgerunner does not guarantee or enforce free shipping.

10. Compliance & Responsibility

Vendors are solely responsible for:

  • Shipping compliance
  • Packaging standards
  • Labeling accuracy
  • Regulatory requirements

Ridgerunner assumes no responsibility for violations.

11. Disputes

Shipping and return disputes must be resolved directly between Customer and Vendor.

Ridgerunner may:

  • Facilitate communication
  • Offer non-binding mediation

Ridgerunner:

  • Is not obligated to resolve disputes
  • Is not liable for dispute outcomes

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Ridgerunner shall not be liable for any damages related to shipping or returns, including:

  • Delays
  • Loss
  • Damage
  • Denied returns
  • Refund issues
  • Increased costs

All risk is assumed by Vendors and Customers.

13. Policy Modifications

Ridgerunner reserves the right to update this Policy at any time.

Continued use of the Marketplace constitutes acceptance of any changes.
